The House
房间

In 2020, staying home became a major activity of my daily life. Thus, I started to pay attention to another perspective towards my family. By taking photo of my parents, myself and objects in our house, I'm also comtemplating the relationship of the family and the environment we've created and been living in. This photo series implicates my skepticism of the definition of family: what is a family made of? What is the element that avoid a family from breakdown?
While completing this project, my family were also planning to move out to another house. Unconsciously, I started to observing the house and us living in it from an audience's point of view. In black and white, objects and ourselves become strange, sentimental but distant in a similar pace.
Have I been living with them? In there? Have they been living with me? From the experience of photographing, I realize the life I'm living are more fragile than it looked.
